ArAMFT MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION In order to become a member of ARAMFT, you must first join the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Our membership is drawn from the membership of the national organization. Clinical membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) is a national certification of competence in this distinct mental health discipline, and all members of AAMFT are bound by a professional Code of Ethics. Clinical membership is not the same as licensure, but most licensed marriage and family therapists are clinical members of AAMFT. The AAMFT has three clinical membership categories: Clinical, Associate, and Student, and one non-clinical membership: Affiliate. For more information about clinical membership click and check out the AAMFT web site.
